OUR STORY
Family Dreams Through Generations
Throughout my life, my mother always did the best she could to make sure that I always had access to horses. We relocated a lot due to my father's job, but horses were always her passion, and mine. In 1988, my parents purchased a piece of property in Sanders County. We then purchased two mares, as my mother's dream was to breed horses and have a ranch. We bred those mares and they gave us our first colt. Over time, we continually increased the herd. I went to many clinics to further my education with horses, and trained many other horses wherever I could. Since then, life has happened. I have raised a family which slowed me down a bit, but I have also worked on our herd; breeding and training our horses. Today, all but a couple of the horses here have been bred, born, and trained on this property. Working with kids and horses is my passion. Combining my love and dream with Mom's hard work and breeding program, here we are today, as Rails and Trails Ranch. My biggest hope is to be able to continue the dream with my kids, and, eventually, their own kids.

ABOUT RAILS AND TRAILS RANCH
Following a family dream, we have created a business where we can teach kids to ride in a fun and safe environment, while still pushing them to do their best. We have taken many kids on their first ride; even their first time seeing a horse up close! We help them progress as far as we can by taking them to parades, shows, rodeos, and clinics, along with introducing them to local clubs and groups in Sanders County.
We truly love what we do, and are so grateful to be able to offer these opportunities to everyone from young kids to adults.

BORN & RAISED
In addition to lessons and trail rides, we also breed and raise our own foals. Most of the horses we have were born on the property, and we take great pride in their successes. We do occasionally offer younger horses for sale, so if you're in the market, send us a message and check in!
